The Holybro CAN Hub is a powered expansion module for expanding CAN ports that has been developed for various flight controllers and their supported peripherals. This CAN Hub is integrated with a step-down power module. It supports 2-12S input power and 5V output voltage for CAN ports. It allows expansion of one CAN port to up to four ports, while providing a stable 5V/1A power supply for each port with a dedicated input power supply.
Most flight controllers have a 5V output on the CAN port, but the voltage can sometimes be lower than 5V due to the influence of other devices connected to the FC. Also, there is a ~3A limit for the total current of all ports (except Telem1). The power supply of this hub is independent and guarantees a stable 5V power supply for CAN-connected peripherals.
